A World of Tranquility and Mystery

Jellyfish from around the world are on display, including the moon jelly, which highly populate the waters around Kagoshima. Their soft floating bodies in the water are whimsical. These mysterious creatures don’t have a brain or heart, but have 8 to 10 eyes around their umbrella to sense light. The leg-like tentacle part is called an oral arm and is part of the mouth. They eat plankton and even have a stomach. Just watching them will calm you down, but try learning about them and you’ll surely become fascinated.
