This exhibition is an international, open-submission triennial that showcases outstanding works of contemporary glass art from around the world. Bringing together the latest achievements in glass art, it contributes to that art’s further development throughout the world. The first competition and exhibition were held in 2018. This year, the second of these competitions attracted 1,126 entries, from fifty-one countries and regions throughout the world. The exhibition presents 44 works selected through the first and second judgings. This exhibition will showcase new perspectives in this form of artistic expression and offer a new opportunity to establish Toyama, the Glass Art City, as a global center for glass art.
