Due to amendments to the City Tax Ordinance, collection of collection fees for reminder letters sent after April 1st will be abolished. However, the fee for reminder letters sent by March 31st must be paid as before. Even after the abolition, reminder letters will continue to be sent if payment cannot be confirmed by the due date. Also, to maintain fairness with those who have paid by the due date, late fees will be charged according to the number of days until payment, as before, so please make sure to pay by the due date. ▷Two new no smoking areas on the streets have been designated

Based on the Amagasaki City Tobacco Control Promotion Ordinance, Amagasaki City has designated areas where smoking is prohibited on the streets. The areas around Hanshin Kuise Station and Hankyu Sonoda Station have been newly designated as such areas. Please understand and cooperate that smoking is prohibited on the streets within these areas.
◆ Other areas where smoking is prohibited on the streets : Hankyu Mukonoshou Station, Hankyu Tsukaguchi Station, JR Tsukaguchi Station, JR Amagasaki Station, JR Tachibana Station, JR Inadera Station, Hanshin Amagasaki Station, Hanshin Deyashiki Station, Hanshin Daimotsu Station, Hanshin Amagasaki Center Pool-mae Station. Smoking while walking and littering cigarette butts are also prohibited throughout the city.
Starting April 1, a 1,000 yen fine will be imposed on anyone smoking in the area.
The area around busy stations and other areas where there is a risk of unwanted passive smoking has been designated as a no-smoking zone. Starting from April 1, tobacco control instructors patrolling the no-smoking zone will approach smokers on the street and collect a 1,000 yen fine on the spot.

Recruiting city employees year-round
The positions being recruited for are administrative (welfare, psychology, child guidance, welfare supervisor, psychology supervisor), and technical (civil engineering, architecture, electricity, machinery, landscaping, environmental and sanitation). Applications can be made at any time, and exam dates will be notified individually. Starting salaries will be increased. Recruitment for administrative positions other than those that are recruited throughout the year is scheduled to begin in May.

Earn 3% of your spending in points
Starting April 1st, we will offer 3% of the amount of Amazaki coins used as points (up to 12,000 points per person). This applies to use at all affiliated stores. The offer will end as soon as the budget amount is reached.
Resume charging
Starting April 1, we will resume the suspended service of charging the coins. However, please note that you cannot charge the coins with a credit card.

Amagasaki City grasps the state of deterioration of sewer pipes and carries out inspections, surveys and reconstructions taking into account the probability and scale of damage caused by deterioration. For areas at high risk of corrosion, inspections are conducted at least once every five years as required by law. Inspections conducted from the end of February to early March found no abnormalities such as corrosion. Daily inspections and surveys are carried out on a five-year schedule throughout the city.

Shingles vaccine has become a routine vaccination. Vaccination tickets will be sent to those who are eligible for routine vaccination after April. The self-pay amount is 4,000 yen for the live vaccine and 11,000 yen per dose for the inactivated vaccine (two doses are required). For those aged 50 to 60 who voluntarily vaccinate, the subsidy program of 4,000 yen per dose will continue for this fiscal year only. Please make a reservation at a medical institution in the city that implements the vaccination and get vaccinated. Pre-examination forms are available at the medical institution.

Subsidy for prenatal checkups
Subsidies for ultrasound examinations for prenatal checkups have been increased from six to a total of 14. If you already have a medical examination voucher, you can continue to use it.
Postnatal care business
Women can receive postnatal physical and mental care, breastfeeding consultations (including breast care), infant development checks, and child-rearing advice from hospitals and midwifery clinics, and can choose between overnight, day care, or home visits depending on their situation.
In order to further improve support for those who need postpartum care, we have expanded the number of people eligible for overnight and day care services, increased the number of facilities available, and reviewed the fees. Fees vary depending on the service used.
Also, the services available and the target age range will vary depending on the facility. A staff member will call you at a later date to inquire about your postpartum situation and confirm the support details.
Eligibility: City residents who require postpartum care and who have given birth less than one year ago and their infants, or those who have experienced a miscarriage or stillbirth less than one year ago. Application: Apply in person or by mail using the designated form, or via the online application portal site, at least one week before the desired date of use, to the Health Promotion Section of the Public Health Center (if applying in person, the North and South Regional Health Section is also acceptable).

From April 19th to June 22nd, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (last entry at 4:30 pm), the History Museum will be exhibiting materials from the museum's collection of exposition materials relating to modern Japanese expositions from Japan's first exposition, the Kyoto Exposition, to the early Showa period.
◆ Wednesday History Lecture will be held on Wednesday, April 9th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the museum, with the theme of "Modern Japanese Expositions as Seen in the Collection." First come, first served: 80 people. No registration required.
◆ Gallery Talk Sunday, April 20th, 2pm to 3pm. Limited to 20 people on a first-come, first-served basis. No registration required.
Kazuo Shiraga Memorial Room Exhibition " Kazuo Shiraga and Gutai III: His Relationship with the 1970 Osaka Expo"
