On Saturday, July 5th, from 11am to 3pm, Amagasaki Archaic Hall Octo will host a booth introducing the facilities and work of corporations that operate private nurseries, certified childcare centers, and small-scale childcare facilities in Amagasaki. Not only new graduates, but also those considering returning to work, those looking for part-time work, and those interested in childcare work are welcome to participate.
Eligible applicants: People who wish to work as childcare workers, kindergarten teachers, nutritionists, cooks, or nurses at private nurseries, certified childcare centers, or small-scale childcare facilities in the city. Application: Not required (no resume required)

Subsidy for the establishment of childcare support facilities Subsidies will be provided for renovation and rental fees when opening childcare support facilities such as cram schools, children's homes, and parent-child exchange facilities in vacant tenant spaces in childcare housing promotion zones designated by the prefecture as areas with good or improving housing and living environments. The maximum amount is 3 million yen in total for renovation and rental fees in the first year, and 1 million yen each for rental fees in the second and third years.
Subsidy for renovating detached houses to make them rental properties If you hire a sublease company to rent out a vacant detached house in the area, we will subsidize part of the renovation costs. This applies to houses that meet certain requirements. The subsidy amount is half of the eligible expenses. The upper limit is 600,000 yen. Applications must be made before construction begins. The subsidy will end when the budget is reached.

▷ Looking for residents of public housing who can do DIY

In response to the diversifying lifestyles of young families with children, we are looking for residents for public housing (30 units) where residents can customize the interior to their own specifications through DIY. DIY is possible as long as it does not affect the structure, such as installing new equipment, changing finishing materials, or changing the layout. Rent is approximately 20,000 to 50,000 yen (common area fees and other charges are required separately). Residents can live in the housing for up to 10 years. Construction can also be requested from a construction company.
Eligible: Families with children up to junior high school graduation, or young couples with a combined age of 79 or less. In either case, household income must be 5 million yen or more and they must be able to participate in neighborhood association activities. Application: Submit the designated form directly to the housing management staff from June 16th to March 31st of next year. Those interested in moving in can view the property.

Due to a partial revision of the Family Register Act, the furigana of names will be recorded on the family register. Notifications will be sent to the head of the family register by the city, town, or village of the person's permanent domicile, and Amagasaki City is scheduled to send them out around the end of June. If the furigana on the notification is incorrect, please submit the required form by mail or in person to the Family Register Furigana Notification Office by May 25th next year. Notification can also be made through My Number Portal. If the furigana is correct, no notification is necessary.

From June 28th to July 13th, from 10am to 5pm (last admission at 4:30pm), the Art Hall on the 4th floor of the General Cultural Center will host a commemorative exhibition by Tanaka Tatsuya, who creates Japanese paintings influenced by the scenery of Amagasaki, where he was born and raised.

Amagasaki City has large rivers such as the Muko River and the Inagawa River, and is an area prone to flooding and other water damage. Heavy rain and typhoons are particularly frequent from June to October. Take this opportunity to review your own disaster prevention measures and prepare for disasters.
Notification of evacuation timing based on "alert level"
When the risk of a disaster increases, evacuation information and other information will be issued in stages using alert levels. Please be aware of the meaning of each level in advance and take evacuation actions according to the level.

Use hazard maps
Hazard maps are available on the city's website that show the expected level of damage in the event of flooding due to heavy rain or a tsunami due to an earthquake in your area, as well as the locations of evacuation sites designated by the city.

High school students (outpatients) are now included in pediatric medical care
In order to further improve support for families with children, we will expand the system. Application forms were sent to new recipients in April. If you have not applied yet, please apply as soon as possible. Please note that recipients of public assistance are not eligible.
◆ Reduction of out-of-pocket expenses for outpatient care We will increase the amount of subsidy to reduce the out-of-pocket expenses for specific categories of students from first grade of elementary school to junior high school to the same amount as for general categories. In addition, we will newly subsidize outpatient medical expenses for high school students, who were previously only eligible for subsidies for inpatient care.

Starting in 2020, Amagasaki City has introduced a partnership pledge system under which a receipt for the pledge is issued to couples, including sexual minorities, who pledge to be partners with each other.
Starting in June, the Amagasaki City Partnership and Familyship Oath System was expanded to allow not only the two people involved, but also family members, including children and parents who share the same household, to take the oath. In addition, it is now possible for people who do not or cannot register their marriage for various reasons, including sexual minorities, to take the oath.

The regular election for House of Councillors members, whose terms expire on Monday, July 28th, is approaching. The date of the vote and other dates will be decided by the national government in the future. For details, please check the "Election Notice" that will be sent out as soon as the date is decided. Please note that some polling stations will be changed from the Amagasaki City Council election scheduled for Sunday, June 15th.
