The national census will be conducted on October 1st. The survey is conducted every five years and targets everyone living in Japan. The survey results will clarify the population, household composition, and living conditions, and will be used for various administrative services, as well as being important information related to the calculation of subsidies from the national government. Enumerators will be visiting each household from late September to distribute survey documents, so please cooperate by responding.
Survey items
There are 17 items, including the gender, birth date, employment status, and type of residence of all household members.
How to answer
◆Responding via the Internet Please log in using your smartphone using the QR code on the "Internet Response Request Form" distributed by the investigator, and respond.
◆Responding by mail Please fill out the enclosed survey form in the envelope for storing survey documents and mail it in the return envelope (no postage required).
The deadline for responses is Wednesday, October 8th.

The event will be held on Sunday, October 19th from 9:30am to 11:30am at AMA-NEST on the second floor of Kaimei City Hall, with the theme "Towards the 110th anniversary of the city's establishment."
Eligible applicants: Residents, employees, or students in the city. Lottery: 15 people. On Friday, October 16th and Friday, December 11th from 10:00 a.m. to noon, the Education and Disability Welfare Center will hold information sessions for parents who are concerned about their children's elementary school enrollment due to developmental characteristics or disability situations.
Eligible applicants: Parents of children who will be attending elementary school in 2027. Application: Not required.

Expanding the municipal kindergarten system from fiscal year 2026
Oshima, Tachibana, Tsukaguchi, and Sonoda kindergartens will begin accepting three-year-olds starting with the 2026 school year. In addition, in 2026, the hours of temporary childcare at Oshima, Tachibana, Tsukaguchi, Muko, Sonoda, and Sonowa Kita kindergartens will be extended to 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
We are looking for children to enroll in municipal kindergartens, private kindergartens, and certified child care centers (only those with Type 1 educational certification) . Application guidelines and other information are available at each center (for municipal kindergartens, the Preschool Education Division on the 3rd floor of the Education and Disability Welfare Center is also available).
◆All municipal kindergartens offer temporary childcare services (inquiries please contact each kindergarten).
We are looking for 3 - year-olds: Children born between April 2, 2022 and April 1, 2023. 4-year-olds: Children born between April 2, 2021 and April 1, 2022. 5-year-olds: Children born between April 2, 2020 and April 1, 2021. Enrollment will be determined by lottery.
Application: Visit each kindergarten directly from October 1st to 7th (2:30pm to 4:30pm, excluding Saturdays and Sundays). Applications to multiple municipal kindergartens are not accepted, so applications are limited to one kindergarten.
All nurseries are also accepting children who require special support and special consideration in their nursery life. Please contact each nursery for details.
Takeya, Nagasu and Kozono kindergartens will close in March 2027, so we are only accepting 5-year-olds.
*Private kindergartens and certified childcare centers are limited to Type 1 certification. Applications for Type 2 and Type 3 (childcare) certification will be published in the October issue of this magazine.
We are recruiting children aged 3, 4 and 5, the same as for municipal kindergartens.
Applications: Apply directly to each nursery school from October 1st. Please note that the selection method in the event of a large number of applications and the method of distributing application forms vary depending on the nursery school. Some nurseries offer day care, some can accept infants who require special support and special consideration in nursery life, and some will start accepting children from the age of three.

Starting in September, various events will be held around Hanshin Amagasaki Station.
The Amagasaki Cool Festival will be held on Saturday, September 13th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Amagasaki Castle Ruins Park and Central Park. Events offering coolness, including mist experiences and playing in the snow, will be held at Amagasaki Castle Ruins Park from 10:00 AM. Playing in the snow will end once the snow melts. The Tsukiji Danjiri Festival will be held on Sunday, September 14th and Monday, September 15th from 8am to 8pm around Hanshin Amagasaki Station (Tsukiji, Higashihonmachi, etc.). Amagasaki Music Park
A music event with the theme of "youth" will be held at Central Park from 11:00 am to 6:30 pm on Saturday, September 27th and Sunday, September 28th. No registration required. For inquiries, please contact the Amagasaki Tourism Bureau.
Books, flowers, bread and coffee
A marche will be held at Central Park on Saturday, October 18th from 11am to 4pm. For inquiries, please contact the Hanshin Amagasaki Station Area Urban Development Joint Venture.
Kifune Variation Theater
The event will be held at Kifune Shrine on Saturday, October 18th from 2pm. 120 people on a first-come, first-served basis. Cost: 2,000 yen. To apply, call the Kifune Yose Office from September 5th at 090-2115-9165.
Amiimo Offering Festival
On Sunday, October 26th, from 10:00 AM to noon, Kibune Shrine will be selling rice containing traditional vegetables and sweets. Registration is not required. For inquiries, please contact the shrine at ☎︎ 6 4 1 1 – 0 1 7 0.
AMA WORLD FES
An event will be held on Sunday, October 26th from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Central Park, with the theme of "SDGs x Regional Revitalization." No registration required. For inquiries, please contact the Amagasaki Tourism Bureau.
Amagasaki Akindo Festival
Food and drink and merchandise booths will be set up at Central Park from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, November 16th. No registration is required. For inquiries, please contact the Amagasaki Akindo Club Secretariat at the Amagasaki Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TEL: 6411-2254).

An event will be held at Central Park on Sunday, September 21st from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, where you can sample and purchase sweets from Japanese and Western confectionery shops in the city. There will also be stage performances such as children's dances, job experience opportunities such as being a firefighter, and food trucks.

On Saturday, September 27th and Sunday, September 28th, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (until 6:00 p.m. on the 28th), Zero Carbon Baseball Park will be hosting events such as sports experiences, craft workshops using scrap wood, and stage performances by local groups.
Fee: Some fees apply. Application: Not required.
E-Tora Quiz Rally A quiz rally will be held in the park where participants can take part in quizzes and learn about the environment in a fun way. Target audience: Junior high school students and younger. First come, first served: 1,000 people each.

From October 1st to November 30th, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (last entry at 4:30 PM), the History Museum will be exhibiting various materials related to Amagasaki during the time when the Toyotomi clan held power, and the Takebe clan, who were based in Amagasaki and served as lords of the Amagasaki domain. Through exhibits such as the spire of the Yoshino Bridge, which bears an inscription indicating that Takebe Mitsushige rebuilt the bridge in 1604 as magistrate, and the Amagasaki version of the Rakuchu Rakugaizu folding screen, the exhibition will look back on the achievements of three generations of the Takebe clan, which have received little attention until now, and the turbulent history of Amagasaki at the time.

The Amagasaki Citizens' Festival will be held around City Hall from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 5th (Chuo Kita Lifelong Learning Plaza will be open until 4:00 PM). There will be a variety of events, including a food and drink area and a stage area (no registration required).

The positions being recruited are for high school graduate clerical work, high school graduate technical work (civil engineering, architecture, electricity, machinery, landscaping), and clerical work for people with disabilities. In all cases, the educational background stipulated in the exam category requires that the applicant has graduated or is expected to graduate from a school stipulated in the School Education Act or a school recognized as equivalent.
