▷ Fixed amount reduction of individual inhabitant tax (municipal tax and prefectural tax)

In order to alleviate the burden of rising prices, we will implement a fixed amount of reduction in individual inhabitant taxes for fiscal year 2024.
Eligible: Individuals who are liable for individual inhabitant tax in fiscal year 2024 and whose total income is 18,050,000 yen or less and who are subject to the income portion of individual inhabitant tax.
◆ Fixed tax reduction amount: 10,000 yen per taxpayer. Dependents including spouses eligible for deduction: 10,000 yen per person (excluding those residing overseas).
◆How to notifyIf you have the amount deducted from your salary (special deduction), you will be notified in the special deduction tax amount determination notice you receive from your employer.If you pay the tax yourself (ordinary deduction) or have the amount deducted from your pension (special pension deduction), you will be notified in the tax payment notice sent in June. Each notice will state the tax amount after the fixed tax reduction is implemented.

If the individual resident tax income tax rate or income tax amount falls below the fixed tax reduction amount, the difference will be paid in 10,000 yen increments. A confirmation letter will be sent to those eligible. Details will be announced in the Amagasaki City Newsletter and other publications as soon as they are decided.
▷ Grants to households exempt from resident tax in fiscal year 2024

The grant will be paid to households registered in Amagasaki City's basic resident register as of June 3, 2024, and which have become newly exempt from resident tax or subject to flat-rate tax only this year.
Please note that you cannot receive the 2023 resident tax exemption household benefit or the resident tax flat-rate household benefit (including child supplement) alone. Details will be announced as soon as they are decided.

The seminar will be held on Wednesday, May 15th and Wednesday, May 22nd from 4:00pm to 5:30pm on Zoom. It will be streamed on YouTube at a later date.

②: Childcare worker recruitment information session
The event will be held at Onishi Nursery School from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 8th.
Eligible applicants: Those who currently hold a childcare worker qualification, or those who are expected to obtain one and will have applied to register for the qualification by March of next year. Application: From May 7th to 31st, apply by email or directly to the Childcare Operations Division.
Exam category: Administrative work (new graduates, nursing, high school nursing, welfare, psychology, digital, high school graduates, people with disabilities) Approximately 80 people are expected to be hired in total.
Exam category: Technology (civil engineering, high school graduate civil engineering, architecture, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, landscaping, environmental engineering, sanitation, public health nurse) Approximately 40 people are expected to be hired in total.
Test category: Approximately 30 childcare workers are expected to be hired

Eligible: People who meet all the following requirements: ▷ Registered residents in the city, ▷ Received the shingles vaccine between April 1, 2024 and March 31, 2025, ▷ 50 years of age or older on the day of vaccination.

◆ Those who received the vaccine between April 1st and May 12th, and those who received the vaccine at a medical institution not affiliated with the Amagasaki City Medical Association or outside the city. Please submit the designated form and a receipt showing the vaccination fee by mail or directly to the Public Health Center Infectious Disease Control Officer.
◆People who will receive the vaccination at a medical institution affiliated with the association after May 13th: Please make a reservation and receive the vaccination at a medical institution in the city that is implementing the vaccination.
The subsidy amount for each is 4,000 yen.

We are looking for members for the planning committee for the Hatachi Ceremony (Coming of Age Day Gathering) scheduled to be held on Monday, January 13th next year. The committee will plan the activities, design postcards to introduce the activities and the program to be distributed on the day, and assist with the operation on the day. The activity period is from late June to late February next year, and the committee will meet about once a month. The first committee meeting is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm on Friday, June 28th.
Eligible: People aged 18 to 25 who live, work, or study in the city. Lottery: Approximately 25 people. Application: May 1st to 31st (must arrive by this date) to the Children and Youth Division in person, by phone, mail, fax, or email.

100,000 People Clean Up Our Town Campaign
Starting at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 19th (or Sunday, May 26th if it rains), we will be cleaning up community roads, station plazas, parks, riverbanks, and other areas in the city with the local community. Please help us with the cleanup around your home or business. Please note that we will not be collecting large-sized garbage, industrial waste, or mud from gutters on that day.
We will be posting pictures of the day on the Amanismu Instagram, so please post with the hashtags "Amagasaki Clean Movement" and "Amanismu." Here is Amanismu's Instagram.
In addition, cleaning activities will be carried out in Nuts (Nishinomiya City, Amagasaki City, Toyonaka City, and Suita City) by June 30th.

▷ Recruiting members of the Amagasaki Youth Delegation to visit Augsburg

We are looking for eight people to visit our sister city, Augsburg, Germany, from September 8th to 15th and deepen our relationship through tours of the city and homestays.
Eligibility: People who live in the city and are between 18 and 29 years old as of April 1, 2024. Other requirements apply. Cost: Expected to be around 250,000 yen (of which the city of Amagasaki will subsidize up to 100,000 yen)
How to apply: Please submit the designated form to the policy secretary in person, by post, or by email between May 1st and 17th (must arrive by this date).
The selection (interview) will be on Sunday, May 26th. After the selection, you will need to attend training (about 10 sessions, once a week at night) before you are dispatched.
Augsburg is an industrial city in southern Germany. Since establishing a sister city relationship with Amagasaki in 1959, the two cities have been sending and receiving missions and exchanging commemorative gifts at important milestones.

▷ Recruiting Homestay Host Families for the Anzanshi Youth Delegation

We are looking for families to host the members of a youth delegation (8 elementary and junior high school students) who will be visiting Amagasaki from our sister city, Anzanshi, China, from August 8th to 12th.
Eligible: People who live or work in the city (single-person households are not eligible). There are other requirements. Application: Apply by May 24th to the policy secretary in person, by mail, fax or email using the designated form.
There will be a selection process. Remuneration will be provided. After the selection process, there will be a pre-information session in July.
◆ Anzanshi is a city in northeastern China with a thriving steel industry. Since establishing a friendship city partnership with Amagasaki in 1983, the two cities have been sending and receiving delegations and holding online exchanges between elementary school students.
