Reduce food waste

For inquiries, please contact the Business Division. ☎ 6 4 0 9 – 6 8 3 3

Nationwide, approximately 4.64 million tons of food is wasted annually. This equates to one rice ball (approximately 100g) of food being thrown away per person every day, and is approximately 1.3 times the amount of food needed to support people suffering from hunger around the world (approximately 3.7 million tons). Let's work to reduce food waste not only in our everyday lives, but also around the New Year period, when there are many events and banquets.

Let's take a peek! Amanosaki

For inquiries, please contact the Public Relations Department. ☎ 6 4 8 9 – 6 0 2 1

We will inform you about the "near future" of Amagasaki.

Let's go to the agricultural park!   Renovation work in progress
Located in the naturally blessed Tano district, Agricultural Park opened in 1983 with the goals of preserving farmland and promoting agriculture. In addition to seasonal flowers like peonies, irises, and roses, the park also offers activities like firefly conservation activities by the Nature and Culture Forest Association, daily flowerbed maintenance by volunteers, and bamboo shoot digging in the bamboo forest. The park attracts over 100,000 visitors annually from both within and outside the city. While beloved as a place of relaxation, the park's facilities have deteriorated over the past 40 years, and renovations are underway to transform the park into a base for promoting agriculture in Amagasaki City. The park's many attractions include a "Flower Viewing Zone" that consolidates and enhances the park's flower collection; a "Multipurpose Zone" that periodically sells sweet vegetables in the community space; and a "Nature Experience Zone" that offers seasonal environmental learning opportunities like firefly and wild bird watching, family-friendly agricultural experiences, and a space utilizing an existing waterway for interacting with wildlife. Please look forward to the park's renovation into a place that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
