▷Let's take a peek! Amanosaki

For inquiries, please contact the Public Relations Department. ☎ 6 4 8 9 – 6 0 2 1

We will inform you about the "near future" of Amagasaki.

We are reviewing our system to adapt to the times and further strengthening our firefighting capabilities!
The Amagasaki City Fire Department operates daily across a system of 10 stations. Many of the firefighting facilities are aging and have functional issues, such as a lack of women's restrooms. Additionally, the number of fires, which peaked at over 400 per year, has hovered at around 100 in recent years, while the number of emergency and rescue calls has been increasing year by year.
Therefore, in line with the changing times, we will relocate and consolidate facilities, review our system to eight stations, and strengthen our firefighting capabilities through unit reorganization. The Sonoda Branch of the Shinkita Fire Station is scheduled to open at the end of February, and the Shinto Fire Station, which will be merged with the Jokoji Branch Office, is scheduled to open in fiscal 2027. The Nishi Fire Station will relocate to the former site of the Nishi Branch of the Amagasaki Minami Police Station. Road improvements and elevated railways have expanded the area within which we can arrive at a scene within five minutes, so please rest assured that even with an eight-station system, we will be able to cover the city area as we do now. In fiscal 2027, we will add one ambulance team and one dedicated rescue team to enable flexible and rapid response to emergency and rescue requests. We will continue to protect the safety and security of Amagasaki residents!
