New city council members elected
Voting for the city council election due to the expiration of the term of office took place on June 15th. As a result, 42 new council members were elected.
The turnout was 40.17%.

"Hyogo Emergency Relief Center (# 7119 )" begins operation
From 9 am on July 11th, the Hyogo Emergency Security Center (#7119) will begin operating in the prefecture. If you suddenly suffer an injury or illness and are unsure whether you should call an ambulance right away, you can receive advice over the phone from a nurse or other medical professional. Please call #7119 from a mobile phone, or 0 7 8 – 3 3 1 – 7 1 1 9 from a landline. It is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In the case of an emergency, such as if the person is unconscious or not breathing properly, please do not hesitate to call 119 and call an ambulance.
If your child is unwell on a holiday or at night
Pediatric consultations at the Holiday and Nighttime Emergency Clinic are accepted until 11:30 pm. If your child is feeling unwell and you are unsure whether you should take them to a medical institution, please use the telephone consultation service.

▷ Calling for original logo design ideas for the city's 110th anniversary

In 2026, Amagasaki City will celebrate its 110th anniversary as a city. Looking back on the changes and growth of the city, we will consider the future of the city and hold commemorative events in various places and occasions. In order to widely publicize these efforts, we are soliciting design proposals for a logo mark that expresses the theme of the city's 110th anniversary. Each person can submit one design. After the design proposals are selected, the logo mark designed based on them will be announced on Wednesday, October 8th. The grand prize winner will receive 50,000 Amazaki coins.

Amagasaki City has designated facilities that meet certain requirements for surviving the heat as "cooling shelters (designated heat evacuation facilities)." The shelters will be open until October 22nd if a special heatstroke alert is issued, so please use them to prevent heatstroke. Please note that they will not be open on days when the facility is closed. A special heatstroke alert will be issued when the heat index is predicted to be 35 or higher at all heat index information providing points in the prefecture.

The Amagasaki Citizens' Festival began in 1972 with the aim of celebrating the birth of Amagasaki as a city, increasing the sense of solidarity among its citizens, and promoting the development of the city. This year, it will be held on Sunday, October 5th, around City Hall.
We are looking for vendors for the festival's bazaar and exhibits, as well as performers for stage performances.

On Saturday, July 5th and Saturday, August 2nd, from 8:00 am to 11:00 am, the Public Local Wholesale Market will hold a market open fair where you can experience purchasing fresh food and other items on the market. Those who spend 300 yen or more at each of the two stores in the market will receive a gift certificate that can be used on the market (first come, first served: 400 people. Participation cards will be distributed on the market on the day).
