Dispenser

1. TATSUNO Corporation
2. Tokico System Solutions, Ltd.

A "hydrogen dispenser," a machine used to fill a vehicle with hydrogen at a hydrogen station, is on display here. Try out filling a fuel-cell vehicle with hydrogen at a hydrogen station!

(1) Remove the nozzle.

(2) Put the nozzle in the fuel filler.

(3) Lock it.

(4) Push the green "Start Fill Button."

(5) The meter will move and filling starts.

(6) When the meter stops moving, it means the tank is full. Push (twist) the depressurization button to unlock the nozzle.

(7) Put the nozzle back, and you're finished.

Hydrogen costs around 1100 yen / 1 kg. A full tank costs around 5500 yen for 5 kg, about the same price as gasoline. Also, it takes around 3 minutes to fill up the tank, and the mileage is about the same as a gasoline-powered vehicle.

2. Tokico System Solutions, Ltd.

This is a diorama of a compound refueling station.

This station provides fuel for gasoline-powered vehicles, vehicles powered by natural gas and electric vehicles in addition to fuel-cell vehicles. No compound refueling stations like this exist now, but greater numbers of convenient stations in good locations will be needed in the future.

3. The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd

A hose used for filling up vehicles, etc., with hydrogen is on display here.

This hose withstands sudden temperature changes and high pressure. This item is used to safely fill vehicles, etc., with hydrogen from a hydrogen dispenser.

Hose development progressed, making use of ever lighter and more flexible materials.

4. Ohno Bellows Industry Co., Ltd

This is a display of the Bellows Bulb used in the piping inside hydrogen stations.

Because the Bellows Bulb can prevent hydrogen from leaking out, it is used extensively in hydrogen piping. You can see the structure by looking at the cross-section of this sample.

5. Suction Gas Engine Mfg. Co., Ltd

This company is a local compressor manufacturer founded 105 years ago in Koto Ward.

With a long history of manufacturing hydrogen compressors, they successfully developed the first Japanese compressor in 2002 for use with FCV hydrogen stations. And since then, they have been manufacturing various types of hydrogen compressors.

6. Honda Motor Company, Ltd

To realize "the Joy and Freedom of Mobility" and "a Sustainable Society Where People Can Enjoy Life," Honda is addressing the three concepts of "generate, use, and get connected" while moving us closer to a hydrogen society.

New examples of mobility in emergency and everyday situations are displayed on this diorama. Various forms of energy, not limited to renewable energy such as solar energy, take advantage of unique regional characteristics and make low-carbon hydrogen manufacturing possible.

7. Syudensya Co., Ltd

A portable fuel cell developed for disaster stockpiling is on display here.

This technology is based on the "hydrogen-generating fuel cell system" which uses calcium hydride fuel. This lightweight, compact fuel cell can use hydrogen gas safely and store fuel for long periods.

8. Panasonic Corporation

"Ene-Farm" fuel cells for household use are on display here.

Ene-Farm extracts hydrogen from gas and generates electricity at your home. The heat generated by creating that electricity is also used to make hot water. Very little energy is wasted, achieving an environmentally-friendly way of living.
