Dinner Scenes

Scenes of brewers dining, from the early Taisho Period to around 1969.
At dinner after work, an evening drink is offered. As a policy, the brewers shared not only dinner, but also every meal together, gathering in the dining hall and eating all at once.

The meal began at the word of the toji, “Let’s eat!”
Despite the strict hierarchical relationships, everyone ate the same meal.
