(9) Fuel-cell vehicle[Mirai]

The fuel-cell vehicle MIRAI developed by Toyota is on display here.

A fuel-cell vehicle is a vehicle with a motor that is powered by generated electricity through the chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen.

[Notable Characteristics]

・It only emits water, not CO2

・The distance it can travel and the time it takes to fill up the tank are roughly the same as a gasoline-powered vehicle.

・It does not produce loud sounds or vibrations when running

This vehicle combines the good points of both gasoline-powered vehicles and electric vehicles.

Approximately 1000 of these cars are sold in Tokyo so far. 3000 are sold in Japan. The price is approximately 7.4 million yen.

A 2.02 million yen subsidy is provided by Japan, with Tokyo itself providing half of that at 1.01 million yen.

The external feeder manufactured by Honda (Power Exporter 9000) is on display here. The price is approximately 1.2 million yen.

Since the external feeder is a valuable tool that can be used in various situations to store the electricity made by electric vehicles or fuel-cell vehicles for use during emergencies or when enjoying outside leisure, demand for the external feeder will increase along with the number of fuel-cell vehicles.
