Minami Kiritoshi (South Trench Path)

The Minami Kiritoshi is a passage that lead from the Sugou bailey to the East bailey and Third bailey. It is thought that this path was originally a moat between the East bailey and Third bailey. Steep stone walls line both sides of the narrow path. By double-backing along the route, the path remains under the observation of the east corner watchtower, and from the yokoya, side flank defense ports of the Higashi Kuruwa.
