Shichiken Mon( Shichiken Gate)

 At the entrance to the Ni-no-maru (second bailey) enclosure stood theShichiken Gate. It was the castle’s second largest gate after the Otemon(main gate).

 Outside of the gate was the Ni-no-maru’s umadashi, an entrance barrierconsisting of a moat and wall-surrounded compound to further protect thegate, and the Higashi Kuruwa (East bailey).
