Delivering tons of information, even to the visually impaired

Developing new methods, in cooperation with an organization for people with physical challenges

Universal Design for the Visually Impaired

Implementation

1.
We set touch points of a globally standardized design, braille, and tactile paving to trigger speech information. Including NFC and RFID, contact-type technologies are utilized, we strive to create a whole world where anyone can access information.
2.
From GPS or location information via beacons, a wearable device (via the app) transmits information about the area when entering it through transmitting vibrations. Users can listen to voice instruction through headphones for all kinds of information. The contents can be chosen, and information can be acquired.

From the voices of our supporters, we've started research and development using cutting-edge IT to move toward a truly universal society

We want to deliver more information, even to the visually impaired. We move toward the realization of this thought, through utilizing QR Translator's text-to-speech function, delivering voice guidance in multiple languages without the need to scan a QR code. We are starting a new experiment, in collaboration with the nonprofit organization Kobe Lighthouse. Please expect nothing less than a truly universal society, one which overcomes differences in nationality and physical capability through the latest in IT.
