Hatsumomidi Co., Ltd.

Flavor description and other data
This sake provides a fresh fruit aroma that smells like a combination of apples and melons and has a charming sourness that tastes like cherries. It has a slightly young hardness in its own way, but a sharp aftertaste with a robust, vivid presence. You can alternately sense fruitiness and liveliness. You may want to taste it with a large glass to feel its aroma at a slow pace. This sake has sourness as an accent, and accordingly seems to be well matched with Western meat dishes and also lightly seasoned Chinese dishes.

Brewer
Brewery introduction: We are one of the oldest breweries in the prefecture, with a history of about 200 years. Our original brand name was the same as the company name, Hatsu Momidi. We stopped production for a short time, but in 2005 the brewery was reborn as a compact, climate controlled facility that allows us to brew year-round, and we began to use as our brand name the surname of the owner, Harada. All of the sake we brew is junmai made using only rice grown in Yamaguchi prefecture, including Yamada Nishiki and Saito no Shizuku.
