Flavor description and other data
The sake brewery is along the Imazu River that flows into the Seto Inland Sea. This sake is named after the calm sea in the early evening (yunagi in Japanese), which describes the scenery around the sake brewery. The natural sweetness of the rice is used to create a leisurely taste. This is reminiscent of the Seto Inland Sea reflecting the setting sun that suggests a relaxing evening. The aftertaste, with its flavorful impression, is typical of sake that has not been charcoal filtered. This sake is enjoyable with gifts from the sea that are representative of the Sanyo region such as sea bream, octopus and our local specialty, blowfish.

Brewer
The brewery is along the Imazu River, which is a tributary of the Nishiki River, a well-known clear river of Yamaguchi prefecture. A gangi is a terraced landing place that was established on the bank of the river that was used for unloading a wide range of things including rice, the main raw material of sake. The Gangi brand, named after the landing place, is a new brand that was started in 2000. All Gangi is made from only rice and koji (rice with a special mold grown onto it) and is not charcoal filtered. The Gangi line-up brewed by young staff under the supervision of the master brewer, who is also the owner, is gorgeously aromatic and provides an impressive and fully fresh feeling in your mouth. Gangi presents a culmination of modern styles that is appealing to modern tastes.
