Irie Taikichi Memorial Museum of Photography Nara City

Irie Taikichi was a photographer who took photos of Nara’s Buddhist statues, scenery, traditional events, and flowers appearing in the Man’yōshū for over half a century, and this museum preserves approximately 80,000 photographs taken by him. The museum building was designed by the architect Kisho Kurokawa.
