In order to reduce the burden on citizens affected by rising prices, to support businesses in the city, and to revitalize the economy, we will be distributing "Eena Life Support Coupons (paper gift certificates)" that can be used at stores in the city to all citizens.
The mailings will be made in stages from the end of February through March. A mailing for all household members will be sent together to the head of the household.
□ Eligible: Citizens (those who are registered as residents of the city as of December 25, 2025)
□Contents: 5,000 yen gift certificates (1 set) per person *An additional set will be distributed to those under 18 years of age (as of December 25, 2025) *One set contains six blue 500 yen certificates (3,000 yen) that can be used at general stores and four red 500 yen certificates (2,000 yen) that can be used at general stores and large stores □Available stores: 603 general stores and 31 large stores (estimated) in the city

・Ena Minami Junior High School finally opens
Ena Minami Junior High School will open in April of this year. The newly added classroom building uses a lot of locally sourced wood, and the bright interior and the scent of wood give it a warm feeling. Renovations to the existing school building have also been completed, creating an environment where children can learn in peace. The expected number of students is 97 first graders (3 classes), 117 second graders (4 classes), and 116 third graders (4 classes).
We will hold a preview event where you can tour the school building and indoor gymnasium.

Due to timetable changes for the Akechi Railway and other services, the city's independently operated bus schedule will be revised. Please check the city's website for the new timetable.

・Distribution of the Community College Guidebook
The city offers a variety of courses based on Sato Issai's "Spirit of the Three Learnings."
The Ena Sangakujuku "Ena Citizens' University Guidebook" for the first half of the 2026 academic year will be delivered to each household along with the April issue of this newspaper. It will also be distributed at the following locations and posted on the city's website.

・Tabetoru Marche Strawberry Fair
This market offers a wide selection of fresh vegetables produced by local farmers, as well as delicious bread and sweets.
A strawberry fair will be held in March, where fresh strawberries and strawberry collaboration products from market vendors will be on sale.

・Meichi Railway Steam Locomotive Experience
To coincide with the Tabetoru Marche, the driver's seat of the steam locomotive, which is not normally open to the public, will be open to the public. You can enjoy taking commemorative photos, etc. Merchandise will also be available for purchase.
