Fraudulent phone calls pretending to be from relatives or acquaintances, as well as suspicious international phone calls, are on the rise nationwide. Please be wary of calls from unfamiliar country codes (numbers beginning with +) and calls from overseas. If you receive a suspicious call, do not panic and consult your family or the police.
Telephone companies offer settings to reject international calls and services to block suspicious numbers. Please contact your telephone company directly to find out how to use these services.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has opened a consultation center for countermeasures against nuisance calls (Denwan Center).

・Ena Skating Rink Information
・On Crystal Day with Avenue Marche, skiing is free (a 500 yen rental fee is required). There will also be food and miscellaneous goods stalls at the Marche.

・Crystal Christmas High school students and younger can skate for free (a 500 yen rental fee is required). You can also enjoy recreational activities and stage events.

・Free skating lessons are for beginners (skate fees and shoe rental fees of 500 yen are required). No application is required, and lessons are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis on the day.

This market offers a wide selection of fresh vegetables, delicious bread, and sweets produced by local farmers. You can buy safe and secure local food directly from the producers. This month, we will be holding a Christmas event. Please enjoy a mini concert by the local music group "Mamanege."

We are looking for photos that convey the charm of the city in one shot, such as city scenery, tourist spots, people, or food.
□ Theme: A photo that colors the present ~ Ena City's "present" for the future ~
□How to apply Follow the city's official Instagram account (@ena.city), add the hashtag "#EnaCityPhotoContest2025", include the location where the photo was taken, and post it to your own Instagram.
□Application deadline: January 12, 2026 (Monday, national holiday)
□Others: The winners will be announced in mid-February 2026. As a prize, they will receive an assortment of local specialties from the city.

・The annual New Year's fire brigade opening ceremony
They will perform a brave climb up the Ena Tobi ladder, march in formation, and spray water simultaneously by all divisions.
Date: Saturday, January 10, 2026
□Time and location The ceremony will take place from 8:00 AM at Ena Cultural Center, the procession will take place from 10:30 AM on Ena Station Central Street, the Ena Tobi Ladder Climbing will take place from 10:45 AM on Ena Station Central Street, and the water spraying will take place from 11:15 AM on the Aki River (between Oi Bridge and Sado Bridge) □Traffic restrictions Traffic restrictions will be in place around Ena Station Central Street from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM.
□Others In the event of bad weather, the Ena Tobi Ladder Climbing will be held at the Ena Cultural Center. The procession and water spraying may be canceled.
