In Amagasaki City, we are promoting initiatives that will strengthen support for families raising children, create a good living environment, and revitalize the local economy, and move forward with sustainable town development toward the next stage. Against this backdrop, we would like to introduce the items (main businesses) that we will focus on in fiscal 2024.
The budget proposal, which includes the major projects introduced here, is currently being discussed at the regular city council meeting.
The main business activities are as follows.
Enhancing child-rearing support and environment

We will inform you about the fiscal scale of fiscal 2024 and the breakdown of general account revenues and expenditures. This budget bill is currently being discussed at the regular city council meeting.
Status of income and expenditure in the general account <br />We have created a budget based on the fiscal discipline, fiscal management goals and rules indicated in the fiscal management policy, and have ensured a substantial balance of income and expenditure. In terms of revenue, the main general revenue source, which is money that the city can use freely, increased by 2.6 billion yen from the previous year to 116.5 billion yen, due to an increase in city taxes and local allocation taxes.
In addition, expenditures include an increase in social security-related expenses such as child allowance benefit-related business expenses and facility-type benefit expenses, an increase in biennial retirement allowances due to the gradual increase in the retirement age, and the start of payment of diligence allowances to employees appointed in fiscal years. This was an increase of 19.3 billion yen from the previous fiscal year due to an increase in personnel costs associated with this.
Balance of fund (savings) and municipal bonds (debts) It is used for the maintenance of buildings and incineration facilities.
In addition, for the portion of municipal bonds subject to target management (future burden excluding municipal bond balances that are basically subject to issuance, such as temporary financial measures bonds and disaster recovery bonds), municipal bonds will be issued. The amount decreased by 2.1 billion yen from the previous fiscal year, mainly because the amount was less than the principal amount redeemed.

Vaccinations that are being provided free of charge as special temporary vaccinations will end on March 31st.
