"We will never forget 1.17" local disaster prevention drill will be held on Friday, January 17th from 1:30pm to 3:45pm at Mukohigashi Elementary School as the main venue. The times at the local venues of Takeya, Kuise, Wakabanishi, Nawa, and Sonowa Elementary Schools will vary depending on the venue. Other municipal elementary and junior high schools and special needs schools will hold the drill during January. This drill will be held mainly on January 17th, "Hyogo Safety Day," in order to pass on the experience and lessons learned from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake to the next generation and to improve preparations and countermeasures for the next major disaster.
◆ Training content: At the main and regional venues, training will be conducted on pet evacuation (such as where to keep pets in evacuation shelters) and evacuation shelter operation training from various perspectives, such as for women, people with disabilities, and foreigners (training content will vary depending on the school).
As part of the training, the website will be switched to a disaster version during the training. When a large-scale disaster occurs, there is a risk that the website will be overwhelmed with traffic and become inaccessible, so by switching from the regular website to the disaster version, you can be sure to access the information you need.
