Alms giving in Luang Prabang City 2022

1. In front of Sene Soukharam Temple-Luang Prabang Primary School
2. Near the intersection in front of tourist Information Centre
3. Around Khokngua intersection to Dara Market Intersection
4. Meunna Village-Visoun Village
5. Souphanouvong/ Naviengkham Village- Chao Souphanouvong Monument Intersection
6. Kaysone PHOMVIHANE Road (Phouvao Road)
7. Na Samphanh- Na Luang Village
8. Phanh Luang- Meuang Nga Village

1.In front of Sene Soukharam Temple-Luang Prabang Primary School

There will be around 300 monks-novices from different temples walking to receive food  s. Monks and novices are from: Wat Xiengthong, Wat Pak Khanh, Wat Kiri, Wat Simoungkhoun, Wat Sibounheung, Wat Sob, Wat Sene, Wat Paphai, Wat Nong, Wat Si Phouthabard and others, the route will start from Wat Xiengthong all the way to Tad Mor intersection (Next to Luang Prabang Primary School) and return back to the small road passing by Wat Paphai towards Wat Nong and Wat Xiengthong, the alms giving will start every day at 05:30-06:30 am.
2. Near the intersection in front of tourist Information Centre

There will be more than 120 monks and novices walking to receive food at this area, which are from Wat Hor Xieng, Wat That Noy, Wat Thatluang, Wat Phonxay and Wat Mai, the alms giving starts from 5:00-06:00 am.
3.Around Khokngua intersection to Dara Market Intersection

There will be more than 30-45 monks and novices walking to receive food at this area, which are from Wat Visoun, Wat Aham, Wat Thamphousi, Wat Meunna, Wat Mano and others by starting the alms giving from 5:00-06:00 am. 
4. Meunna Village-Visoun Village

Around this area, there are more than 100 monks and novices from different temples: Wat Meunna, Wat Payatheub, Wat Sakaem and Wat Phoukhuay; Monks from Wat Payatheub, Wat Sakaem and Wat Phoukhuay will walk to gather in front of Luang Prabang Mayor’s Office and walk along the way to Ban Meunna and passing through Wat Visoun. The alms giving starts at 05:00-06:00 am.
5. Naviengkham Village- Chao Souphanouvong Monument Intersection

There are around more than 100 monks and novices walking to receive food   at this area, which come from Wat Manolom, Wat Payatheub, Wat Sakaem, Wat Meunna and Wat Phoukhuay, Monks from Wat Manolom will walk towards Police station whereas other monks will walk towards the intersection near Lao Telecom Company and walk to cotton gin towards Naviengkham Market and people will sit along the road side at the Chao Souphanouvong Monument to offer food to the monk, starting from 05:00-06:00 am. 
6. Kaysone PHOMVIHANE Road (Phouvao Road)

More than 100 monks and novices walking to receive food   at this area usually come from Wat Pha O and other temples. The monk will start to walk from Phouvao Gas Station all the way to Kaysone PHOMVIHANE Road until Kaysone PHOMVIHANE’s Monument. Alms giving starts from 06:00-07:00 am. 
7. Na Samphanh- Na Luang Village

There are more than 20-30 monks and novices walking to receive food   at this area, which come from Wat Na Luang and Wat Vietnamese cemetery. The alms giving starts from 05:00-06:00 am
8. Phanh Luang- Meuang Nga Village

There are about more than 100 monks and novices walking to receive food   at this area, which usually come from Wat Phonsang, Wat Pa Kha, Wat Phon Sa-arth, Wat Taohai, Wat Phanh Luang, Wat Pha O and Wat Phoukhuay. Local villagers will give alms along the street between Phanh Luang Secondary School to Meuang Nga Village intersection (At the other side of the old bridge). Alms giving starts from 05:00-06:30 am.
