<Structure of a float>
It takes about a year to complete a float and 22 new floats join the parade every year; however, most of them are destroyed after the festival and only the selected 4 floats are displayed in the museum until the following festival.
Nebuta float is created based on a scene from Kabuki (traditional Japanese male play), Japanese/Chinese history or mythology and a scene behind is connected to the front.
There are two wheels under the platform. In the festival, about 30 men pull and rotate the float freely in front of the spectators which is the highlight of the festival.
The power generator is installed inside the platform.
