It takes about 16 minutes by electric bus to Kurobe Dam Station. The station is located inside a tunnel which keeps the air cool throughout the year.220 steps leading up from the right side of the station takes you to the observatory of the dam. 60 steps leading down from the left side of the station takes you to Kurobe Dam through a passageway.
