When you tell the counter or ward office that you are expecting a baby, you will receive a "Maternal and Child Health Handbook" and a "Mother and Child Health Bag."

Prenatal health check-ups and newborn hearing tests

The "Mother and Child Health Bag" contains a "Prenatal Health Check-up Ticket."

The test can be taken at hospitals in Tokyo.

Dental health check-up for pregnant women

The "Mother and Child Health Bag" contains a "Pregnant Women Dental Health Check-up Ticket." The examination can be taken at a medical institution in the ward.

"Hapimama tamago" Interview

When you tell your local health support center that you're expecting a baby, they'll interview you to help you feel at ease about having a baby.

Birth support gift

Those who apply after taking the "Hapimama tamago" Interview will be sent a "Birth Support Gift."

Postnatal care business

After your baby is born, you can get overnight or day help from a midwifery clinic.

Baby visit (newborn visit)

When your baby is born, please don't forget to submit the "Birth Report Card" that is included in the "Mother and Child Health Bag." A midwife or public health nurse will visit your home to weigh the baby and give you childcare advice.

Childcare support gifts

After the "baby visit (newborn visit)", a "child-rearing support gift" will be sent to those who applied.

vaccination

In order to prevent newborn babies from getting sick, we give them vaccinations. When it is time for the vaccination, we will send in a vaccination card. If you have the vaccination card, the vaccination will be free of charge.

Child Allowance

Money will be given to people raising children up to the age of 15.

Child medical expenses subsidy

We help pay for hospital expenses for children up to the age of 18 who live in Kita Ward.

Family household relocation subsidy
