A Casual Place to Try Making Paper For Yourself
8-44 Shinzaike-cho, Echizen-shi, Fukui 915-0232
Anyone can enjoy making washi paper here, decorated with pressed flowers or a variety of liquid dyes for a truly one-of-a-kind souvenir. The finished washi paper is then dried quickly enough that you can take it home the very same day. Staff members will give you help and advice as you make your own paper. The paper-making course takes 20–40 minutes, and no reservation is required.
There is also a shop here featuring a wide selection of items made with Echizen Washi, from notepads to interior decorations.
