Kumano Kaido Walking Course (Izumisano City, Sennan City)
Highlights
A walking course that runs from the Tsuruhara-oji Historical Site to the Kashii River, known as the location of the Siege of Osaka. Along the way, walkers will see the Sano-oji Historical Site, a market street signpost, and the graves of warriors who were killed in the Siege of Osaka.
Along the road leading to Sennan, there is also the Momii (Kashii)-oji, one of the five Gotai-oji, and the Oku Family Residence, designated as a National Important Cultural Property.

1. Kashita Shrine
In the Edo period, this shrine was called Hachimangu and was dedicated to the Hachiman, the deity of archery and war.

5. Grave of Ban Danemon
A military commander active at the Battle of Sekigahara as well as other battles. He was defeated and killed in the Battle of Kashii during the Siege of Osaka. This memorial was raised in his honor.

8. Grave of Tannowa Rokurobei (Shoho-ji Temple)
Rokurobei fought alongside Ban Danemon and others in the Battle of Kashii during the Siege of Osaka, but was killed in battle. A memorial was erected in his honor.
