2. LOVE RINKu (in Rinku Park)
LOVE RINKu, a monument within Rinku Park, offers panoramic views of Osaka Bay and, if the weather is fine, Kansai International Airport. In the evenings, the setting sun shines through the monument, making it very romantic.
In 2019, LOVE RINKu was chosen as one of about 140 “Lovers' Sanctuaries” as a romantic spot perfect for proposals.
You can also buy heart-shaped silver “Love Tags” (\800) at Rinku-Machidokoro and get any letters you like engraved on them. Then all you have to do is just attach the tag to the monument.
The perfect place to visit with your special person and get photos. And if you do, please post them on social media!
2. Inunaki-san
Inunaki-san has been famed for centuries as a training site for Shugendo, ascetic mountain worship. With 48 waterfalls, both large and small, visitors can enjoy hiking among the natural environment in all four seasons, seeing cherry blossoms, fresh greenery, or autumn leaves. There is also a hot spring at the foot of the mountain, so a visit will soothe your body and spirit.
Inunaki-san is home to the temple of Inunakisan Shipporyu-ji, which is one of the few places in Japan where visitors can experience Shugendo. Unlike Mt. Omine, where women are banned, everyone is welcome to experience Shugendo practices here. (\3,000 / Every third Sunday (excluding December - February). Reservations required)
Ideal for all those wearied by their daily grind, those who want to take a day trip to find relaxation, or anyone who wants to be surrounded by rich natural environments far from the hustle and bustle of the city.
