Three Monjus exist in Japan: Kireto Monju in Tango (Kyoto) , Abe Monju in Oyamato (Nara), and here. It is said that in the second year of Daitou Era (year 807), Saint Tokuitsu on a mission had constructed the hall. Known as the Monju of Wisdom, this hall is visited by many praying for wishes and academic successes.
