Both brand-new books and second-hand books are sold at this bookstore.
At the same time, this bookstore not only sold books but also published books.

Books are stacked up on the shelves on display with inserted bookmark indicating the title of each book.

Back in those days, Kamigata (another name for Osaka) kabuki theater was very popular.
So, bookstores also printed and sold yakusha-e, which is one genre of ukiyo-e woodblock prints, depicting kabuki actors.

The tsukurimono ceremonial prop displayed here depicts one scene from the Sōjōbō high priest of Kurama, which was one of the most favorite themes among Osaka’s theatergoers.

Ōtengu high priest and Ushiwaka-maru are made of a set of lacquerware, including chopsticks, bowls and paddles.
