How to Prepare Matcha Green Tea

Chawan (Tea Bowl)
Chasen (Tea Whisk)
Matcha (Green Tea Powder 2 g)
*Standard: 1 teaspoon or 2-3 cashaku (bamboo matcha scoop) of tea powder make one tea bowl.
Hot Water (about 60 cc at about 80 degrees Celsius)
1. Add the green tea powder to the chawan.
2. Pour the hot water into the chawan.
3. Using the chasen, whisk briskly in the shape of the letter M until frothy bubbles appear.
4. Once bubbles have formed, gently whisk the foamy surface only to create finer bubbles.
5. Once you have created the smaller bubbles, the tea is ready. Taking care not to break the bubbles, lift the chasen smoothly out of the tea.
